Sorry, but I was singing with the CD, and Knofler's got about an octave below my vocal range, so just pretend I'm a guy and you'll get through it OK.
This is part of my story.
A little bit of this pertained to a job that was screwing up my life. But mostly, this is unfortunately a tale of a real ongoing problem, still under investigation, with my song rights. We're still not exactly sure who was responsible in what proportion for the ripoffs. Knopfler (ex-Dire Straits) could have written this without me, of course, but he's trying to help me out. Still, the reality is that I'm not getting paid for any of my writing. Not a cent. The fact of my extensive co-writing in the industry is being covered up.
